In the Dolomites I rode as much rocky singletrack as I could ever want.
I mostly kept the views in my heart, but others' photos bring the emotion right back.
Thanks to the two trip leaders who guided us to the end; next time I'll come on an e-bike.

Every day brought new roads, and the Dolomites' scenery had us cheering.
We ate lavish Italian full-course meals daily, so instead of losing weight I gained a belly.
The endless climbs and descents beat every record I'd set back home.
I missed the singletrack some riders enjoyed, but hiking instead left me perfectly happy.

We rode road, singletrack and gravel daily; on the rest day, volunteers rode a stunning 5-hour singletrack.
The weather was always on our side, and the food at mountain huts and restaurants was the highlight.
It feels like I left my soul there, and my answer for next time is Kyrgyzstan.

Our 10-night, 11-day Dolomites trip began with pasture climbs and a scary loose-gravel descent.
We reached the top of the Stelvio Pass and rode its 48 hairpins down, a moving moment.
We rode all day through orchard country lanes and took a restful day at Lake Garda.
Singletrack on the Alpe di Siusi made even 21 km hard, and the Tre Cime left us in awe of nature.
Thanks to the trip leader, staff and fellow riders, it became a wonderful memory.
